This is an open-air memorial and is therefore exposed to the elements. Please watch your step as the stones can be slippery.
While we have no visitor center, free maps and informational brochures can be found inside the building next to the bookstore. Rangers rove the Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King Jr. and Franklin Roosevelt memorials between 9:00am to 10:00pm for questions and interpretive talks.
The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is a unit of National Mall and Memorial Parks.
This presidential memorial is located along the western shore of the Tidal Basin, taking visitors on a walk through time as FDR's four terms in office are chronicled through quotes carved in stone and fascinating bronze artwork.
Parking throughout the District of Columbia is restricted generally (see individual area signs for site specific closures/restrictions) from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. to facilitate cleaning and maintenance. Private paid parking garages and lots can be found downtown north of the National Mall. Free on street parking is generally restricted to two hours (ticketing/towing enforced).
Metered parking is available along Ohio Drive, SW which is along the Potomac River south of the Lincoln Memorial or in Lots A, B, and C south of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
