You can listen to an interview with a former Women's Army Corps member and try out a stenography machine.

Hands-On Experiences

The exhibit area includes tactile and interactive elements such as a model of Fort Washington, a tactile map, and replicas of objects like a tobacco knife. Multiple hands-on elements have braille labels.

Large Print

Large print park brochures are not available.

Fort Washington

Audio Description

On the NPS app, there is a self-guided tour of Fort Washington. Using a screen reader, you can hear audio descriptions of some buildings within the fort. This is not an audio tour.
