About This BlogThe McLoughlin House in Oregon City, a unit of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, is the retirement home of Dr. John McLoughlin, the chief factor of Fort Vancouver who provided much-needed assistance to Oregon Trail emigrants. The house, built in 1845, is one of Oregon’s oldest homes. This historic home is about to receive much-needed repairs and rehabilitation.
