Fort Union has limited food options. There are no concessions on site. Vending options include a snack and soda machine. Potable water is available on site with a water fountain and bottle filling station available in the Bourgeois House Visitor Center. During special events limited concessions may be available.

A picnic shelter is located in the lower parking lot. Groceries and restaurants are available in neighboring communities.

There is no public camping or overnight parking available at Fort Union Trading Post.

Fort Buford State Historic Site offers primitive camping, 2 miles to the east of Fort Union. Available April - October, all campers must check in at the Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center.
