Fort Stanwix National Monument staff and volunteers will celebrate our nation's Independence Day on Monday, July 4th with a variety of activities for all ages.Activities are scheduled throughout the day, including the traditional Declaration of Independence readings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. All activities happen inside the fort unless otherwise noted.

The day's events include:

9 a.m. Memorial service at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Liberty Street and James Street.

10 a.m. Children's Program:The 3rd NY Regiment wants YOU! Come Join the Fun!

11a.m. Public Reading and Signing of the Declaration of Independence


11:30 a.m. Musket Salute to the United States of America

1 p.m. Children's Program:The 3rd NY Regiment wants YOU! Come Join the Fun!

2 p.m. Public Reading and Signing of the Declaration of Independence

2:30 p.m. Musket Salute to the United States of America

3 p.m. Ranger Guided Program:One, two, three strikes you're out! Join Ranger Mark on the front lawn of the fort for this 1 hour program, and explore the origins of our favorite national pastime.
