Rome, NY – On Saturday, June 25, Fort Stanwix National Monument is hosting Junior Ranger Day. Offered at national parks across the country, the Junior Ranger program encourages children to explore, learn about, and protect their favorite parks. This free event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.The theme of the day is: “Past Tales, New Discoveries.” Children of all ages, and their families, are welcome to come and discover the sights, sounds, and even smells of the 18th Century. This will include music, scavenger hunts, and more.
“The best part about Junior Rangers is that anyone can become one, and you can do it more than once,” said Park Ranger Arielle Goellner, “There are so many cool parks and stories to discover and we invite you to start at Fort Stanwix.”
The next event happening at Fort Stanwix is “PACT First Friday,” on September 7.
