Share progress in Growums Gardens at Steuben's garden and in your Growums Garden at home. Discover the secrets of the Sacred Grove. Junior Master Gardeners bloom where they are planted! Start gardening now! Join the Junior Master Gardeners Program on Sunday, July 15th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Steuben Memorial State Historic Site. The Junior Master Gardeners Program engages children in novel, hands-on learning experiences that instill a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. The Junior Master Gardener Program also inspires youth to serve others through service learning and leadership development projects. The historic garden plantings at Steuben Memorial State Historic Site are part of an ongoing service project. The Junior Master Gardeners meet on Sundays once a month from March through August. The next Junior Master Gardener meeting will be held on August 12, 2012, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Steuben Memorial State Historic Site, Monument Rd, Remsen, NY.
