On Saturday May 26th, Eastern National in conjunction with Fort Stanwix National Monument will host a book signing by author Robert Wilczak at the Marius Willett Center. Wilczak will discuss his newly published historical novel, “Eye of the Eagle”, which looks at Benedict Arnold from a different perspective. Mr. Wilczak explores the possibility that Arnold, long reviled as a traitor – was a patriot whose manipulation of the British and their army helped turn the tide of war for the struggling new nation. Backed by meticulous research and a carefully constructed timeline, Wilczak makes a compelling case for his conclusion.

The discussion and book signing will take place at the Marinus Willet Visitor Center located at 100 S. James St. from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday May 26, 2007. Refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by Eastern National. Eastern National is a not for profit company that provides quality educational products and services to America’s national parks and other public trusts.

An avid lover of history, Wilczak has spent more than a decade meticulously researching letters and timelines that support his new perspective on many of the controversial events that occurred during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Wilczak majored in Criminal Justice at Hilbert College in Hamburg, NY, and has worked in the financial field for a highly respected Wall Street firm for the past 19 years. He lives in Clarence, N.Y., with his wife Lea Ann and son Bobby.
