Rome, NY – Effective April 1, 2017, Fort Stanwix National Monument will no longer sell Senior and Annual Passes. The remaining stock of Senior and Annual Passes will be available for purchase through the end of March on a first-come, first-served basis. The passes may still be purchased at most federal recreation sites that collect entrance fees or by applying at https://store.usgs.gov/pass.
The park will continue to issue free park passes including the active-duty military annual pass; the access pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities; and the 4th-grade Every Kid in a Park pass. An overview of changes taking effect on April 1 includes:
Annual Interagency Pass ($80): No longer available at Fort Stanwix. Available at federal lands areas charging an entrance fee. Available over the phone by calling the USGS at 888-275-8747 (option 3). • Available online at https://store.usgs.gov/pass
Senior Pass ($10): No longer available at Fort Stanwix. Available at federal lands areas charging an entrance fee. Available online at https://store.usgs.gov/pass (+$10 processing fee).
Access Pass (Free): Still available at Fort Stanwix. Available at federal lands areas charging an entrance fee. Available online at https://store.usgs.gov/pass (+$10 processing fee).
Military Annual Interagency Pass (Free): Still available at Fort Stanwix. Available at federal lands areas charging an entrance fee.
4th Grade Every Kid in a Park Pass (Free): Still available at Fort Stanwix. Available online at www.everykidinapark.gov (print your pass). Paper passes may be exchanged for plastic cards at certain sites.
