This summer, the rangers and volunteers of Fort Stanwix National Monument are proud to present “Tuesday Fun at the Fort." Weekly, from June 24-August 19, children and their families may drop in anytime between 10:30 and noon to learn something new and exciting about the fort. These children’s activities will be held on the lawn on the James Street side of the park in front of the Willett Center.

"The goal of this program is to foster curiosity and excitement about the fort’s stories and the people who lived and worked here, both in the 1700’s and today," says Park Ranger Valerie Morgan. The park will be offering several hands-on activities and craft projects that will allow children to experience history – not just read or hear about it. There is no registration for the programs, and you may choose to attend one or more of the following topics:

June 24 – 18 th  Century Toys and Games
July 1 - The many Flags of Early America
July 8 – All In a Day’s Work: Children’s Chores
July 15 – America’s First Allies: Oneida Culture
July 22 – 18 th  C. Music and Instruments
July 29 – Officer’s Day
August 5 – Enlistment Day
August 12 – St. Leger’s Puzzle
August 19 – Celebrate Our National Parks
