News Release Date: February 7, 2009 We all know who our country’s first President is, but where did he grow up, and what kinds of things did he do as a boy? The February “School’s Out at the Fort” program focuses on George Washington’s Birthplace National Monument in Virginia. On Wednesday, February 18 come discover our nation’s first President as a child, and find out what brought him to Fort Stanwix as an adult. Participants will be able to complete and take home a Junior Ranger booklet along with the Jr. Ranger badge from the site. |
