Fort Stanwix National Monument has new winter hours. Starting on Saturday, December 24, 2022, the park visitor center will be closed though early April 2023. Those wishing to visit can access it through December 23, weather dependent. Beginning Sunday, December 18, 2022, the historic fort will also remain closed through mid-April. The fort can be visited through December 17, between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm, weather dependent.
During this time, park trails and grounds will still be accessible 7 days a week. Visitors are always welcome to enjoy free tour programs and guides on the National Park Service App (available in IOS and Android app stores) or use the free park cell phone tour at any time while walking the park grounds, at ph# 315-271-2059. Rangers are also available to visit schools, libraries, and other community organizations for national park and history related programming. This is free of charge.
Fort Stanwix National Monument operating hours vary by season. Admission to the park is free. For more information about upcoming events please call the park at (315) 338-7730.
