Fort Frederica National Monument Volunteers (VIPs) In Park ProgramFort Frederica National Monument is a hidden jewel within the National Park System. The compelling history preserved and interpreted at the site paints a picture of the early history of Georgia and the British-Spanish struggle for control of the empire. Incredible resources, both cultural and natural, within the park, help us to study and share this history. Park volunteers not only help us preserve and protect this special place but they also help share its unique story with visitors from around the world. Volunteerism at National Park sites shines a spotlight on the dedicated team of men, women and children who contribute countless hours of their time to promote and support “America’s Best Idea”.
Whatever skills or interests you possess, you can find meaningful opportunities to get involved at YOUR National Park! While helping preserve and share this special place volunteers get to experience this park in unique and special ways. Training opportunities, field trips, and recognition are a vital aspect for a successful volunteer program.
