Fort Dupont Park – Southeast D.C.’s backyard stage 

This year’s lineup celebrates the soul of the city with two joyful nights of hip-hop and R&B— the beats, lyrics and melodies that bring people together.  

2025 Concert Lineup 

Aug. 23 – '90s R&B Summer Sounds 

Smooth sounds, timeless hits and a soulful send-off to summer.

A vibrant evening of rhythm, rhyme and culture.

Free admission. No tickets needed. 

Gates open: 5:30 p.m. 
Show starts: 7 p.m.  

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and good energy. Come early to grab your spot. Everyone is welcome, and the National Park Service staff is here to help you enjoy your visit. 

What Makes It Special 

The Fort Dupont Park Summer Event Series is more than just music— it’s about belonging. Since 1972, this celebration has connected generations of Washingtonians and visitors from afar through shared stories, soulful sounds and public lands that are open to all. 

From picnic blankets to dance circles, from first timers to longtime fans, this is a space where everyone can feel joyful and free. 

To keep the event safe and comfortable for everyone, please don’t bring: 

  • Alcohol 

  • Negative vibes 

  • Coolers larger than 29.5 x 16 x 19 inches 

  • Glass containers 

  • Grills or open flames (grilling is only allowed in designated picnic areas) 

  • Illegal substances 

  • Large Umbrellas (umbrella canopy diameter must not exceed 35 inches when fully open) 

  • Weapons of any kind 

Friendly park rangers and staff will be on site to help everyone have a fun, safe experience.
