Road Closures at Fort Dupont Park for Chuck Brown Day

National Park Service (NPS) will close Fort Dupont Drive SE between Randle Circle SE and Fort Davis Drive SE, Fort Davis Drive SE from Massachusetts Avenue SE to Ridge Road SE, and the alley connecting Ely Place SE to F Street SE from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

WASHINGTON— In anticipation of the Chuck Brown Day permitted event at Fort Dupont Park, the National Park Service (NPS) will close Fort Dupont Drive SE between Randle Circle SE and Fort Davis Drive SE, Fort Davis Drive SE from Massachusetts Avenue SE to Ridge Road SE, and the alley connecting Ely Place SE to F Street SE from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on August 17. Please expect traffic congestion in the area.

Visitors to Fort Dupont Park are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks and leashed pets. Do not bring alcohol, glass containers, illegal substances, weapons, umbrellas, coolers larger than 29.5” x 16” X 19” and tents of any size. Grills and open flames are also prohibited.
