Trails

There are three designated walking trails within the memorial.

For the safety of visitors and the protection of memorial resources, hikers should remain on trail surfaces at all times. 

 

Trail Use
Trails are open every day from sunrise to sunset. Please note on the day of your visit prior to hiking. All trails are maintained throughout the summer season and are closed during winter months.

Pets

Pets on a leash are permitted on all memorial trails. Please check out our Pets page for restictions and best practices.

Wildflowers and Plants

Please respect the "living memorial" by leaving all wildflowers and plants growing in the fields. Planting trees, flowers or shrubs is prohibited.

Trash Free

Please respect the memorial by taking trash with you and participate in the Leave No Trace program.
