![]() Events CalendarPrograms are listed as information becomes available. 2023 ProgramsThe Story of Flight 93 (30 minutes) Meet at the flagpole at the Memorial Plaza. The Story of Flight 93 is a ranger program discussing how Flight 93 fits into the greater context of September 11. This 30-minute program is held where visitors can sit on benches and listen to a ranger talk about aspects of the terrorist's plan, personal stories of passengers and crew, as well as the obstacles the passengers and crew overcame to thwart Flight 93 from hitting the terrorist's target. Tower of Voices Talk (15 minutes) Join a Park Ranger at the Tower of Voices to learn about how it honors the crew and passengers of Flight 93 through sound and symbolism. Reflect on the ways that September 11, 2001, and Flight 93 have changed individuals, societies, and nations. Please check calendar for program scheduling. WEPA in a Weekend The National Parks of Western Pennsylvania (WEPA) will celebrate the 107th birthday of the National Park Service with a special event, WEPA in a Weekend, dates TBD. WEPA includes the following five parks: Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, Johnstown Flood National Memorial, Flight 93 National Memorial, Fort Necessity National Battlefield and Friendship Hill National Historic Site. September 11 Observance The 22th Annual September 11 Observance will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, September 11 at the Memorial Plaza and is free and open to the public.
