Live Stream of the Moment of Remembrance

The 22nd Observance of the Moment of Remembrance on September 11, 2023 will be live streamed via the Flight 93 National Memorial YouTube channel. Live stream start time is still TBD. We will update our website and social platforms once a start time is confirmed.

In the event of severe weather, elements of the program are subject to change.

 

September 11 Observance

The 22nd Annual September 11 Observance will begin at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, September 11 at the Memorial Plaza and is free and open to the public. 

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time parking and to walk to the event site.

Park entrance will open at 07:00 a.m.

All visitors on the morning of September 11 will park in designated lots and walk to and from the event. Accessible buses are available to accommodate wheelchairs. Please consider arriving one hour early to allow time to walk to the event location.

The Moment of Remembrance will begin on Monday, Sept. 11 at 9:50 a.m. EDT at the Memorial Plaza. The National Park Service welcomes the public to a thirty-minute name reading to begin at 9:50 a.m. ET from the Memorial Plaza. Each name of the passengers and crew members will be read aloud with the ringing of the Bells of Remembrance.  

A public wreath-laying ceremony begins at 2 p.m. on the Memorial Plaza near the Wall of Names. 

Events will be held rain or shine. The ceremony will take place in a field and requires walking on mown grass and uneven ground. In the event of severe weather, elements of the program are subject to change.

The Visitor Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11.

All programming is free and open to the public.

Bus and Motorcycle Groups

Groups wishing to visiting Flight 93 National Memorial over the September 11 weekend please email us to let us know you are coming. While the park is not taking reservations, this information is a very important part of the event planning.

Please include the following information:

• Type of transportation (bus, motorcycle, etc...)
• Number of participants.
• Number of vehicles.
• Arrival time and estimated duration of visit.
• If the group plans to attend any of the formal events.

Group Arrivals on September 8 - September 11, 2023.

• All groups will enter through the entrance off US Route 30.
