The 23rd Annual September 11 Observance will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11 at the Memorial Plaza and is free and open to the public.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time parking and to walk to the event site.
Park entrance will open at 07:00 a.m.
All visitors on the morning of September 11 will park in designated lots and walk to and from the event. Accessible buses are available to accommodate wheelchairs. Please consider arriving one hour early to allow time to walk to the event location.

The Moment of Remembrance will begin on Wednesday, September 11 at 9:45 a.m. EDT at the Memorial Plaza. The National Park Service welcomes the public to a thirty-minute name reading. Each name of the passengers and crew members will be read aloud with the ringing of the Bells of Remembrance.
A public wreath-laying ceremony begins at 2 p.m. on the Memorial Plaza near the Wall of Names.
Events will be held rain or shine. The ceremony will take place in a field and requires walking on mown grass and uneven ground. In the event of severe weather, elements of the program are subject to change.
The Visitor Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
All programming is free and open to the public.
