Formal Parlor in the Saxton McKinley House
Tours of the Saxton-McKinley House cover three floors of the Victorian home as well as the life and impact of First Lady Ida McKinley.

Education Center

Begin at the Education Center (205 Market Avenue South) and learn about some of the First Ladies of the United States. There is a small museum of rotating exhibits, and the theatre features a short film.


Guided tours of the Saxton-McKinley House leave from the Education Center at the top of every hour from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Tours last approximately 50 minutes.

Tours have a maximum capacity of 15 visitors. After capacity is met, visitors can be scheduled for the next hour. Reservations are only accepted for groups of six or more people.

Junior Ranger

Although the program is focused on the 6-12 age range, visitors of all ages can participate in a Junior Ranger activity when visiting the park. While taking a guided tour of the home the visitors answer questions in the park's Jr. Ranger activity book. Upon completion, Jr. Ranger cadets will receive a badge and certificate. To get started, ask a ranger when you visit the park!
