Join us at Effigy Mounds National Monument on June 17th, 2017 for another Junior Ranger Day. Children of all ages are invited to take a break from the Prairie du Chien Rendezvous and join us from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a variety of activities focused on the 1673 expedition of Marquette and Joliet and the origins of the historic fur trade. Two Ranger-guided hikes will leave from the visitor center at 1:00 p.m. for ages 4-8 and 9-13+. Additional hands-on activities and crafts will be available for kids of all ages. Children will also have an opportunity to complete the Junior Ranger Program. Already an Effigy Mounds Junior Ranger? No problem, Rangers have added new activities to the Junior Ranger book for this day only and you can earn a BRAND NEW wood Junior Ranger Badge. Contact 563-873-3491 ext. 123 for more information.
