You'll find volunteers throughout the park, including in the Chemistry Laboratory.

National Volunteer Week allows us to recognize the contributions of all of the people who offer their time and talent to the National Park Service and to Thomas Edison National Historical Park. Visitors to the park can experience this first-hand by catching one of our many volunteer-led talks, tours, and programs. The gardens at Glenmont are also maintained in part thanks to the effort of volunteer gardeners. If you see a VIP, be sure to thank them for their service to the park and to the public. Their support helps elevate the park, and we could not offer all the programs and opportunities for visitors without the help of our volunteers.
