Schedule Changes for Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile Shuttle Bus Services Coming Soon

Beginning Monday, September 9th, the mandatory Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) shuttle to Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile National Monument from the Adventure Center at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area Valley will end its daily service and vehicles will be allowed to drive into the Valley (a fee is required at the Minaret Vista entrance station). A weekend intravalley shuttle will operate within Reds Meadow Valley from September 14 through October 13.

Fall Shuttle Bus Schedule:

Through September 4th:
Road closed to vehicles 7am to 7pm
Shuttles operate on the following schedule:
7:30 am until 10:00am, and 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm; every 45 minutes or less
10:00 am until 4:00pm; every 20 minutes or less.
The last bus out of the Valley departs Reds Meadow Resort at 7:45 pm

September 5 – 8:
Road closed to vehicles 8:30am to 6pm
Shuttle timing and frequency will change to the following schedule:
9:00 am until 6:30 pm: approximate every 30-minutes
The last bus out of the Valley departs Reds Meadow Resort at 5:45pm

Weekends from Saturday, September 14 – October 13

The complimentary intravalley shuttle will operate from the parking area at Reds Meadow Resort to Devils Postpile National Monument from 10am to 3:30 pm. Due to limited parking capacity, the Devils Postpile parking lot will be closed during this time and visitors will be directed to park at Reds Meadow Resort and take the bus to Devils Postpile

If there is no parking available at Devils Postpile, when the shuttle is not running, vehicles must park at other designated parking areas in the valley.

The extended shuttle service beginning September 5 will be funded by the Town of Mammoth Lakes to improve safety and reduce congestion at popular destinations in the Reds Meadow Valley while visitors enjoy the golden fall colors.
