Who can resist an evening of pickin’ and grinnin’ that makes the heart sing, the feet stomp and the hands clap with delight?  Such will be the Saturday, June 13th evening at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park as Town Branch Bluegrass takes to the stage at the Wilderness Road Campground Amphitheater.  With banjo, mandolin, bass, guitar, and of course vocals, this southwestern Virginia group of six will perform the traditional songs of yesterday, accentuated with “the drivin’ sound of a modern style.”

Park Naturalist Scott Teodorski invites all to this free program.  “Music is a big part of Appalachia and Town Branch Bluegrass will make all feel right at home.  With a campfire as our backdrop, the pines overhead and the rich tones of Town Branch Bluegrass, the evening will be nothing less than perfect.”

In the event of rain, the 8:00 p.m. program will be held in the visitor center auditorium.  For more information on park programs, please call 606-248-2817, extension 1075.
