BIODIVERSITY is one of the key reasons that the Congaree National Park is recognized as a national treasure. A large variety of plant, mammal, reptile, fish and bird species have been identified in the park. Many of the species are recorded in the database accessible below. A complete list of organisms does not exist. However, as new organisms are verified and recorded, they are added to the species lists.
