The Devils Kitchen Picnic Area is the closest venue to Grand Junction. Several picnic tables are sheltered within the covered structure. Water at the indoor restrooms and drinking fountain is turned off seasonally for the winter, when nighttime temperatures generally remain below freezing. During winter, two portable restrooms are stationed along the path between the parking lot and picnic tables.
Considerations when reserving for an event:
- The Devils Kitchen Picnic Area has 15 picnic tables and 6 charcoal-only grills.
- Special events are limited to 100 people.
- Maximum number of parking spaces that can be occupied is 10.
- Overflow parking is available in the field near the east entrance station. The maximum number of parking spaces there is 50.
- Event attendees may not walk the road to the Devils Kitchen Picnic Area.
- Events that use the additional parking area must provide a parking attendant and coordinate shuttling guests to the picnic area.
