Although the work will continue through Tuesday, every effort will be made to be open. Anyone planning to visit the park on Tuesday, December 8, should check ahead of time by calling the visitor center at (843) 881-5516, call park headquarters at (843) 883-3123, or check our website home page. Charles Pinckney National Historic Site is located at 1254 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. The 28-acre park is a plantation remnant once owned by Charles Pinckney, a contributor and signer of the United States Constitution, and four time South Carolina governor. Visitors to the site can enjoy exhibits, films, a ½-mile loop trail, a Junior Ranger program, and lush grounds.
