Fort Oglethorpe, GA: On Saturday, August 5, at 2pm, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will present a 90 minute car caravan tour of Chickamauga Battlefield focusing on resistance during Reconstruction.

Program participants will learn about veterans of the struggle for Chattanooga and their efforts to resist Reconstruction. Exactly, how did they resist? After keeping up the fight and ultimately creating a new world to live in, did they actually win in the end? These answers and more will be discussed during this special program.

Please remember to dress appropriately for the conditions and to bring a bottle of water and a folding chair if desired.
