News Release Date: April 6, 2017 On Saturday, April 29, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will be conducting artillery programs at the Brotherton Cabin (Tour Stop 4), in Chickamauga Battlefield, at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm, with each program lasting approximately 30 minutes. The Brotherton Cabin is located along LaFayette Road, at the intersection of Brotherton Road and Dyer Road. Please follow the “Special Event” signs to the parking area. The fields and woods around the Brotherton farm are most often associated with the Confederate breakthrough on September 20, 1863. However, it was the scene of vicious and chaotic fighting the day before and near the area where Union forces overran Carnes&#’; and their actions in the woods near the Tennesseans farm. |
