Come celebrate health and vitality at the 5th Annual Chattahoochee River Summer Festival August 25th and 26th. The festivities will begin Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center in JohnsCreek. The sites and sounds will include local performers and storytellers to entertain, businesses and organizations to educate and plenty of opportunities to recreate. People of all ages can enjoy live wildlife programs, educational exhibits, live music, and guided tree climbing with Genevieve Summers of Dancing with Trees, and canoeing on River Glen Pond. The artistic work of blacksmith Michael Leggett will also be on display as well as the outdoor skills of demonstrator Ben Kirkland. Children will especially enjoy storytelling, “Spirit Rock” painting, face painting, marshmallow roasting and an array of crafts and recreational activities. Hike on a fitness trail and receive a free festival T-shirt! A variety of items will be for sale including: children’s activity books, photographs, and fantastic food.
