Georgia CWRP, under the leadership of Oldcastle, Inc., CH2M Hill, and ENSR, is working with the National Park Service on a Natural Systems Enhancement Project at the Johnson Ferry Unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. The project’s goals are to rehabilitate the wetlands, streams, and terrestrial habitats, as well as protect cultural resources and enhance educational and recreational opportunities within the 47-acre site. The Georgia CWRP also sponsored a volunteer event to rid the Recreation Area of the invasive privet weed.
