Date: February 10, 2017
Superintendent F. Gus Sanchez is pleased to announce that on Wednesday, February 15, at 7:00 p.m., Chamizal National Memorial will host a free performance of Romeo y Julieta. This bilingual rendition of Shakespeare’s classic tale is an adaptation by Jesse Snyder and will be performed by Shakespeare on the Rocks. After the play, the performers and park rangers will join the audience in a lively discussion.
To commemorate this season of love and friendship, bring a date or bring yourself and join others who come to enjoy this performance about love, tragedy and transcending the barriers of culture and tradition. Chamizal National Memorial offers Romeo y Julieta as part of this month’s “Chamizal Asks: What Do You Think?” program where everyone has the opportunity to speak up and join in the conversation about the topic of discussion. “Chamizal Asks: What Do You Think?” takes place on the third Wednesday of every month.
