The National Park Service, the El Paso Mexican Consulate and El Centro Cultural Mexicano Paso del Norte Host International Photo Exhibit The National Park Service, the El Paso Mexican Consulate and El Centro Cultural Mexicano Paso del Norte are hosting an international traveling photographic exhibit, "Los Que Se Quedan" or "Those Who Remain" in the Los Paisanos Gallery at Chamizal National Memorial from November 10 until December 10, 2011. This poignant photographic collection by Carlos Hagerman and Juan Carlos Rulfo tells the personal stories and provides an intimate and discerning depiction of the impact of emigration on families and villages left behind by loved ones who traveled north to find work in the United States. The exhibit is open daily from 9 am until 5 pm. Admission is free. A public reception at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 in the Los Paisanos Gallery at Chamizal National Memorial at 800 S. San Marcial Street will mark the official opening of the exhibition. |
