Chamizal National Memorial Seeks Community Members Interested in Helping to Form New Non-Profit Friends Group
Did your list of New Year's resolutions include becoming more active in your community? Do you want to know how you can get involved and help support your national park right here in El Paso? Were you looking for ideas on how? If so, then Chamizal National Memorial has answers for you!
Superintendent F. Gus Sanchez is inviting your attendance and participation in an upcoming public meeting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the Theater, located in the Memorial's Cultural Complex.
"We are seeking input and participation from our community members who wish to learn more about opportunities to become active, involved supporters of Chamizal National Memorial. There are many exciting projects and programs planned for the park and we are looking for partners who want to help us realize those plans and the original vision for Chamizal National Memorial, and seek to explore the stories and cultures related to the relationship between the United States and Mexico " said Superintendent Sanchez.
Chamizal National Memorial celebrates and commemorates the peaceful resolution of a century-long international boundary dispute between the United States and Mexico. We invite you to come explore, learn, and support El Paso's National Park Service site. The Memorial grounds are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
