D-Day and WWII Veterans Commemoration Superintendent F. Gus Sanchez is pleased to announce that Chamizal National Memorial is partnering with the El Paso Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association to host a commemorative ceremony to honor all World War II veterans at 10 a.m. on D-Day, Monday, June 6th. The ceremony will take place in the Theater, located in the Memorial's Cultural Center. Free refreshments will be provided in the Spanish Garden following the ceremony. In 2016, Chamizal National Memorial will have a two-layer birthday cake. The National Park Service will celebrate 100 years of our country's history and culture and Chamizal will celebrate 50 years of our community's history and culture. Gus Sánchez se complace en anunciar que Chamizal National Memorial ha colaborado con la sección local de la asociación de la 82.a División Aerotransportada para presentar una ceremonia conmemorativa en honor a todos los veteranos de La Segunda Guerra Mundial, a las 10 a. m. el lunes, 6 de junio, el Día D. La ceremonia tomará lugar en el teatro, ubicado en el centro cultural del parque. Luego de la ceremonia habrá una recepción con refrigerios gratuitos en el patio. En 2016, Chamizal National Memorial celebrará con un pastel de cumpleaños de dos niveles.
