Gus Sanchez announces the opening reception for Alfonso Tellez. His paintings, currently on display at the Franklin G. Smith Gallery, range from local themes to abstract paintings.
Al began his formal training in art at the age of 13. After high school, he studied in California and then went on to complete his formal education in Engineering. A graduate of UTEP, he went on to work in the El Paso city planning department. His love for the Siglo de Oro era inspired him to create the 2015 painting Masquerade, Cordova, Cir. 1500.
We invite you to visit Chamizal National Memorial and join us in the Franklin G. Smith Gallery on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to meet and learn more about Alonso Tellez, his art, and what inspires him. His exhibition will be on display in the gallery until Friday, November 20th, 2015. Admission is free, and the gallery is open daily. El superintendente de Chamizal National Memorial F. Gus Sánchez anuncia la recepción de apertura para Alfonso Téllez. Sus pinturas, actualmente en exhibición en la Galería Franklin G. Smith, tratan de temas locales hasta pinturas abstractas.
Al empezó su educación en el arte a la edad de 13 años. Después de la preparatoria, estudiaba en California antes de completar su educación formal de ingeniería. Después de graduarse de UTEP, pasó a trabajar en el departamento de planificación en la ciudad de El Paso. Su afecto por la era Siglo de Oro le inspiró para crear la pintura Masquerade, Cordova, Cir. 1500 en 2015.
Le invitamos a visitar Chamizal National Memorial y acompañarnos en la Galería Franklin G.
