César E. Chávez National Monument is an excellent place for kids to discover the legacy of one of the most influential Latino leaders of the twentieth century.

Explore and Learn:

  • Exhibit Hall: Photo collections in the Exhibit Hall display inspiring scenes from the 1965 Delano Grape Strikes, bringing history to life.
  • Memorial Garden and Gravesite: Kids can honor the memory of César Chávez by visiting his gravesite and the peaceful Memorial Garden.

Junior Ranger Program:

Kids can become Junior Rangers by completing activities in our Junior Ranger Book.

  • Pick up a free booklet at the information desk upon arrival.
  • After completing the booklet, return it to the desk to receive a Junior Ranger badge.
  • Alternatively, the booklet can be printed at home, completed, and then mailed to the monument to earn the badge.

It's a fun and engaging way for kids to learn about César Chávez and the farm worker movement while earning their own special recognition!
