Electrician Matthew
Morgan of Catoctin Mountain Park has been named one of eighteen National Park
Service participants in the Facility Manager Leaders Program Class of
2014-2015. The Facility Manager Leaders
Program is a year-long course of study consisting of five residential classes,
over 500 hours of education and training, and developmental assignments
tailored to the student. Matthew will earn a joint certificate in leadership
and facility management from the National Park Service and Indiana University. The goals of the
Facility Manager Leaders Program include: the creation of employees who
understand their responsibilities in implementing the NPS mission; the
development of facility managers who can lead NPS units in actions that will
implement asset management, and the building of a legacy of improved and
focused leadership in the National Park Service. Matthew is a 10 year
veteran of the National Park Service. He worked at Antietam National
Battlefield Park and the Chesapeake and Ohio National Historical Park before
transferring to Catoctin Mountain Park in October, 2013. Matthew lives in
Needmore, PA with his wife Kelly, and
two sons. The 2014-2015
Facility Manager Leaders Program will begin in May, 2014 and will conclude with
a Capstone class and graduation on April 17, 2015. Catoctin Mountain
Park is one of over 400 units administered by the National Park Service, U.S.
