On Saturday evening, November 22, you will have an opportunity to enjoy a candlelit timeline tour exploring the many flags that have flown over the Castillo and the people who have shaped history from within its coquina walls. Join historically dressed staff and volunteers for this "Soldiers through Time" event representing soldados from the First Spanish Period (1695-1763), British Redcoats (1763-1784), soldiers of the American Civil War (1861-1865), and other periods to discover the events and significances of the Castillo spanning nearly 250 years. There will be six nighttime candlelit tours of the fort covering these periods in history, with each lasting roughly 45 minutes. Tours depart from the ticket booth at 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, and 8:00 p.m. Nonrefundable tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, and may be purchased in advance at the ticket booth or by phone by calling (904) 829-6506 ext. 232.
