St. Augustine, FL –The National Park Service is pleased to announce the annual Castillo de San Marcos National Monument
"Holiday Open House" on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Park Rangers and volunteers will bring the history of the Castillo to life at this free, community event. Experience
the Castillo after dark and mingle with the soldiers, sailors, marines, and civilians who have served within the Castillo's walls. This event highlights
the Castillo's history from the 16th through the 20th centuries.
A three gun cannon firing will signal the opening of the event at 6:00 p.m. Additional cannon demonstrations will follow at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
