The Friends of Carl Sandburg at Connemara assist the National Park Service in its mission to preserve and protect Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site by raising funds and public awareness.

Your gift to Friends of Carl Sandburg at Connemara can help:

• Enhance educational and interpretive activities
• Increase public awareness and support of the park
• Preserve, restore and enhance the park's cultural and natural resources
• Preserve historic structures
• Provide improved services and facilities for its visitors

Wherever you go in the national park, you can see the results of the Friend's efforts. The Friends have provided funds for many vital projects, including:

• The annual Folk Music Festival
• Student Poetry Contest
• Development of a Writer-in-Residence Program
• Carl Sandburg Junior Ranger Program
• Sandburg Satchel Traveling Trunk Education Program
• Family Friendly festivals - Spring Into the Park and Fall Into the Farm
