Superintendent George Price announces that National Park Service has issued a concessions prospectus for a concession contract for food, beverage and other services at Herring Cove Snack Bar at Cape Cod National Seashore. The term of the new concession contract will be for ten (10) years, beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2025. "Herring Cove is a key visitor destination within the Seashore and is home to a beautiful, lifeguarded, and accessible beach," said Price. "This contract is an exciting business opportunity at our recently completed Herring Cove Bath House Facility directly on Herring Cove Beach." The snack bar is currently operated by Far Land Provisions, who was awarded a three year term by the National Park Service regional office based upon an open request for quotation (RFQ) process in spring 2013. The National Park Service Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that no preferred offeror for this contract exists. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by 4:00 p.m. (ET) on May 11, 2015.
