Bring a Ranger to your classroom!

Invite a Ranger to visit your classroom to lead a program on a variety of topics and learning activities. All programs meet Massachusetts Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. In-Classroom programs offered September-November 2022. See program descriptions below.

  • Share the Shore with Seals (1st-3rd) - Students learn about seal habitat and adaptations. Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks: 1-LS1-1; 2-LS2-3; 3-LS4-3; 3-LS3-4; 3-LS4-5
  • The Power of Pollinators (2nd) - Students will discover the important relationship between plants and pollinators and their importance to all life. Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks: 2-LS2-3
  • Discovering Skulls: (3rd-5th) - Using skull replicas, students will learn about different local mammals. Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks 3-LS3-2; 3-LS4-2; 4-LS1-1; 5-LS2-1
  • Explore Your National Park (4th-6th) - Students will learn about different national parks and discuss why we have these special places. Massachusetts Curriculum Framework: HSS.4.T1;
  • Sedimentary Sleuths (4th) - Students explore different types of weathering though hands on classification activities. MA Curriculum Frameworks: 4-ESS2-2
  • Salt Marsh Life (6th – 8th) - Using salt marsh models, students learn the importance of salt marsh ecosystems. MA Curriculum Frameworks: 6.MS-LS1-2
