Contact: Casey Johannsen, Park Guide, 870-449-4311 Please join us at the Buffalo Point Amphitheater this summer for three special concerts as we celebrate Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. These family-friendly shows are free and open to the public. On Saturday, May 27 at 7:00 pm the band Arkansauce will take the stage. This Northwest Arkansas band began in 2011 and has developed a unique blend of bluegrass, country, and folk music that is all their own. Come listen to this modern string band as they mingle various genres of Americana music. In honor of the Fourth of July the Mellow Mountain Band of Mountain Home will perform on Saturday, July 1 at 7:00 pm. This entertaining group will play cover songs while putting their own folksy and acoustic spin on them. These guys will get you singing along as they play those songs that you know and love. Finally, on Sunday, September 3 at 7:00 pm the Root Diggers of St. Louis will close out the season. This traditional old-time string band has played at Buffalo Point multiple times and is back by popular demand. The Root Diggers’ blend of traditional Ozark and Appalachian music will take you back to a simpler time. Please call the Buffalo Point Ranger Station at 870-449-4311 for further information. |
