National Park Radio Concert at Steel Creek Postponed

Buffalo National River, Harrison, AR – Due to the threat of inclement conditions this weekend, the 2nd Annual Steel Creek Concert featuring National Park Radio has been postponed until Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 5:00 PM.

The concert, originally scheduled to coincide with National Park Week, was rescheduled by park officials in order to promote visitor safety and protection of park resources. Weather forecasts call for cooling temperatures and up to 6 inches of rain across the Ozarks through the end of this week.

Last year’s concert attracted an estimated 600 visitors for an evening of live music among the unmatched natural beauty of Buffalo National River at Steel Creek, located off of Hwy. 74 near the town of Ponca. This year’s event will offer vendors and educational booths in addition to the live folk and bluegrass music of Harrison-based National Park Radio. For more information and updates, visit the event page on Facebook: 2nd Annual Steel Creek Concert featuring National Park Radio.

This event has been made possible by the generous sponsorship and volunteerism of the Buffalo National River Partners, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the promotion, appreciation, preservation and protection of the Buffalo River.
