Harrison, Ark. – Buffalo National River will be installing a new water line to Steel Creek starting on Monday, July 29. As a result, the only road accessing Steel Creek will be shut down Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Access to the river and campground will be available outside of the closure to include any time on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

This project is expected to last through August, but if river levels rise the park will reassess access to Steel Creek. For updates, please call the Tyler Bend Visitor Center at 870-439-2502.
