Rangers will issue the "Every Kid Outdoors" annual pass to 4th grade students. This free pass is good for entry to NPS sites for the 4th grade student and accompaning visitors in one vehicle. The pass is good September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024. As per federal government guidelines, this pass is available to current 4th graders only.

April 1, 2024 - April 30, 2024 "Have a Bryce Day"

Students will explore the formation of stunning hoodoos, the unique adaptations of animals and plants, and the rich cultural history of the area. Together we'll talk about why it was designated a National Park Service site over 100 years ago and how the National Park Service preserves and protects this beautiful gem. Learn how you can be a part of the team.
Duration: 45 mins Grades 3-4, 5-6.

April 1, 2024 - April 30, 2024
"Lifestyles of the Rocks and Famous"

The lifecycles of our plants, animals and landscapes at Bryce Canyon National Park demonstrate the enduring success of nature in our high desert ecosystems. Change is everywhere, and we'll look at how all the pieces of the environmental puzzle adapt to make this home. We'll explore the ancient bristlecone pine's gnarled roots clinging to the crumbling amphitheater rim, the swift pronghorn as they avoid even the most masterful hunters, the other-worldly hoodoos dissolving right before our eyes, and the progression of the forested plateau into a meadow awaiting it's turn to become an amphitheater of eroding rock spires. By examining adaptations and variations, we’ll discover the patterns of change that determine lifecycles and insure survival on the Paunsaugunt Plateau.
Duration: 45 mins Grades 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
