The Tall Ships Came to Boston - June 17-22, 2017

56 ships from 13 nations visited Boston Harbor in June 2017. Many docked at the Charlestown Navy Yard. Throughout the event, there was music, fun, and exploration for all ages!

Tall Ships, Live Music, and Fun for the Whole Family!

Come explore the many aspects of maritime culture, history and tradition at the Charlestown Navy Yard during Sail Boston! This special weekend will offer live music concerts by performers maritime cultures across the world, a chance to engage with the men and women who specialize in the time-honored trades of shipbuilding and seafaring, and fun for kids and adults alike!

USS Constitution Museum Programs and Activities

Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Set sail on a voyage of discovery! Hands-on exhibits and family programming that explores the history of USS Constitution from her construction in the 1790s to today. Admission is by donation.
Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. - Noon
Life At Sea
Discover what is for lunch in this delicious program about the early sailor’s daily diet.
Saturday & Sunday, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Marked for Life
Learn the history of sailor’s tattoos and mark yourself with a temporary tattoo. Tattoos cost between $1 and $2.
Sunday Only - 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Boston Area Chantey & Maritime Sing with the Roaring Forties
Listen, learn and lift your voices! Participate in your maritime heritage by joining a rousing chorus of sea chanteys.
