From May 31 - October 29, 2023, these tours will be offered Wednesday - Sunday 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.* Registration will be required; please register through Eventbrite. *In case of weather, Rangers will offer an indoor option in the basement of Faneuil Hall, also known as the "Find Your Park Space." Self-guided tours of The Black Heritage Trail® can be conducted at any time, Monday through Sunday. Maps and site brochures can be obtained at the Abiel Smith School and at the Faneuil Hall Visitor Center during site hours. A self-guided audio tour is also available through the NPS App. For virtual tours, please reach out at boaf_mail@nps.gov. Please Note:The Robert Gould Shaw/54th Massachusetts Regiment Memorial on the Boston Common is owned by the City of Boston and is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The African Meeting House and the Abiel Smith School are owned by the Museum of African American History. The African Meeting House and Abiel Smith School are open to the public during site hours only and house the National Park Service visitor area. All of the other sites on The Black Heritage Trail® are privately owned and are not open to the public. Museum of African American HistoryHours:The Museum of African American History's Abiel Smith School and African Meeting House are open to the public year round with timed ticket entry.
