Glen Jean, WV — Summer is here and it’s a good time to explore your parks! Join a ranger or park partner for free hikes, talks, and other programs this June and July in New River Gorge National River and Bluestone National Scenic River. These guided activities provide a good opportunity to learn more about the natural world around us and the people and places that shaped area history. Be it a short walk on a trail, trying a new outdoor skill, or a special event like Train Day in Thurmond, these varied activities are good opportunities to explore parks.
Visit the park web site to see the complete list of June and July 2017 Guided Activities. Some programs do require reservations. All equipment will be provided.
