Park Specific Rule and Regulations

Within 36 CFR, park superintendents are granted the right to make park-specific regulations to maintain public health and safety, protect environmental or scenic values, protect natural and cultural resources, aid in scientific research, provide for equitable use of facilities, and avoid conflict among visitor use activities.

Firearms

Federal law allows people who can legally possess firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws, to legally possess firearms in Rhode Island.

It is your responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable state, local, and federal firearms laws before entering the park. Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park is located within the state of Rhode Island.

Federal law prohibits firearms in certain facilities in this park (such as visitor centers and government offices) those places are marked with signs at all public entrances. Read more about firearms in national parks.
